Matilda Villas – Holiday Village in the Ironworks Village of Mathildedal

Matilda Villas is located right by the seashore in the idyllic historic ironworks village of Mathildedal.

The resort consists of 18 villas and a variety of shared amenities, including a private beach, a traditional campfire hut (kota), a children’s playground, and a charming summer chicken coop. The cottage village also features its own electric vehicle charging station.

Mathildedal is conveniently located less than 30 km from Salo, approximately 80 km from Turku, and about 140 km from Helsinki. Getting here is easy by car, public transport, or even by private boat.

The village’s services and restaurants are easily accessible with complimentary bicycles available for guests. Matilda Villas is also an excellent venue for private celebrations, corporate events, team-building days, as well as remote work.

There are two villa sizes available:

Villa Kukka: 120 m² on two floors, with three separate bedrooms

Villa Taimi: 83 m² on a single level, with two separate bedrooms

Your stay

A holiday at Matilda Villas can be as active or as peaceful as you wish. You can relax indoors by the fireplace doing nothing at all, or enjoy the resort’s on-site activities. Our private beach is suitable for swimming almost year-round, and during summer guests can use the beach gym equipment, water trampoline, and fire pit. The beach is located below the hill and is accessed via stairs.

In addition, the surrounding area offers plenty to do. The Mathildedal and Teijo area features opportunities for golf, skiing, tennis, padel, and mini golf, as well as the stunning outdoor trails of Teijo National Park. The village is also home to its own brewery and roastery, along with several excellent restaurants.
