Koivumäki Ancient Trail

Koivumäki Ancient Trail, located in Muurla, Salo, runs along an atmospheric forest hill. At the beginning, there are some 35 steps, followed by a twisting trail up to the hill, displaying the Bronze Age in Muurla. On the southwest side of the hill, there is a barrow, which is a typical prehistoric grave on high-ground rock. There is another barrow lower down on the hill, but there is no passage to it. The barrow opens to a view of the Muurlanjoki river.

The path is marked with wooden poles and the looped square sign. There is an information board at the start of the trail before the barrow. You can park at the youth house club at Viljo Hurmeentie 1.
